What counts as blank?
A page where almost no pixels are darker than paper-white. The “strict” setting only removes truly empty pages; “lenient” also removes pages with faint specks or scanner noise.
Will it remove a page with a single line of text?
On the strict setting, no. Even a short line of text is enough ink to keep the page.
