Temporary in-browser data

Some tools need to hold on to something temporarily while you work — a signature you've drawn, text you've typed into the full-screen editor, a colour you've sampled for background removal. That data lives only in your browser's memory for the current session and is not written to a cookie or any persistent storage; it disappears when you close or refresh the tab.

If that ever changes

Should a future feature need actual cookies (for example, remembering a preference between visits), this page will be updated to say exactly what's stored and why.
